Build something real, with people who have done it
At TGS College, business mentorship is not a module you complete. It is a relationship you enter. From your first year through to your post-graduate life, you are surrounded by practitioners, founders, and leaders who are genuinely invested in what you are building.
You will operate a real enterprise
Every final-year student in the School of Regenerative Economies and the Dignity of Work does not write a traditional dissertation. They legally incorporate and operate a real enterprise or non-profit for one full year, funded by a TGS micro-patronage grant. You will learn business by doing business, in the real Zimbabwean economy, with real consequences and real lessons.
Your mentor is a practitioner, not a textbook
Through the TGS Foundry and the Opus programme. You are matched with a Patron-Mentor. A seasoned entrepreneur, investor, or business leader whose experience directly matches what you are building. This is a deliberate, personal introduction made by people who know both sides of the match. Your mentor is not there to lecture you. They are there to walk alongside you.
The TGS Foundry Fellowship takes it further
For the most ambitious graduates, the TGS Foundry Fellowship selects 20 post-graduate nation-builders each year. Fellows receive a two-year living stipend, a master mentor, access to a seed funding pool managed by the TGS Foundation, and a requirement to present their results publicly. It is the most coveted business launchpad in the country.
You join a network that opens doors
TGS alumni include founders, executives, and innovators operating across Zimbabwe and the continent. Through TGS Circles and the alumni network, you are connected to people who have built what you are trying to build and who understand the standard you have been formed to meet.
The institution stands behind your venture
Pro-bono legal and accounting support from TGS students and faculty is available to every enterprise founded through our programmes. You are not released into the market alone.
